Being able to move freely and explore an unfamiliar or new location is an important part of who we are. But what goes on in our brains when we do this? Research published in Neuroscience in mice provides new insight into the role of different brain regions in enabling voluntary movement when faced with unfamiliar surroundings. Read the interview with the authors to learn more about these intriguing findings! Read the article Call for Papers: Special Issue on Emerging Topics from South America to Global Neuroscience
A commemorative special issue of Neuroscience is being organized to mark the 30th anniversary of the Uruguayan Neuroscience Society (SNU). The special issue, entitled “Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Uruguayan Society for Neuroscience: Emerging topics from South America to Global Neuroscience”, will highlight review articles and original research papers, with a particular emphasis on collaborations between local and international researchers. The focus will be on areas where Uruguayan neuroscience has made notable contributions to the global neuroscience field. The deadline for manuscript submission is 15 August 2024.
