Postdoctoral Position in Plant Immunity and Metabolism

The Kachroo Lab (https://plantpathology.ca.uky.edu/person/pradeep-kachroo) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate the metabolic and biochemical mechanisms underlying plant immunity. This position will focus on the intersection of metabolic regulation during systemic acquired resistance (SAR), with potential translational implications for both plant and human health.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Biochemistry, Plant Physiology, or a related field
  • Experience in molecular biotic or abiotic stress signaling and plant molecular genetics is desirable
  • Strong publication record and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Opportunities:

  • Conduct research at the forefront of plant immunity and metabolic regulation
  • Access to state-of-the-art metabolomics and computational tools
  • Engage in potential collaborations spanning plant and biomedical sciences
