Quedo a disposición por cualquier consulta Saludos Mariela Hello all, We are contacting you to ask for your help in diffusing the following ISAC (International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry) call for nominations for the Shapiro Award for innovation or education in resource-limited environments. While ISAC has experience and connections with educators in many countries, we are having a difficult time identifying the innovators: young to mid-career scientists who are working on innovative cytometry projects to better improve health and well-being. The candidates can be self-nominated and ISAC membership is not a requirement. The deadline for applications for the 2025 award is soon, now extended to December 10, 2024, but we are also looking for candidates for 2026 and beyond, so candidates who are too late for 2025 are still very much of interest to us. Could you please forward this request and information to your contacts, societies and mailing lists in Latin America that you think appropriate? All my best Call for Nominations Shapiro Award ISAC seeks nominations (including self-nominations) for the 2025 Shapiro Award, which is intended to recognize individuals who have made contributions to the advancement of cytometry in resource-limited settings. The Shapiro Award will consist of recognition at the CYTO conference, travel support plus an honorarium, and engagement in ISAC’s efforts to advance cytometry around the world. ISAC created the Shapiro Award, with support from David Novo, to commemorate Howard Shapiro’s dedication to deploy cytometry technology in a form that is usable and cost-effective in resource-limited environments by recognizing and engaging an individual who has helped advance cytometry and its application to improve human health and well-being globally.
